Leopard Launches Deadly Attack on Shepherd in Lahanmanluga Village Dang
A wave of fear has swept through the Vaghai taluka of Dang district following a terrifying leopard attack on a local shepherd in Lahanmanluga village. The victim identified as Somnath Chintaman Lakhan was tending to his goats in the forest border area when the leopard suddenly lunged at him from the thick bushes. Range Forest Officer Chiragbhai Machhi confirmed the details of the attack and stated that the forest department has provided immediate financial assistance to the injured shepherd as per government norms. To ensure the safety of the villagers the department has intensified its efforts to capture the leopard. More cages have been strategically placed around the Lahanmanluga and surrounding forest areas and tracking teams have been deployed to monitor the movement of the predator. The forest department is using advanced tracking methods to identify if the same animal is responsible for both the recent attacks.
The local administration and the forest department have issued a high alert for the residents of Vaghai taluka. Villagers are being strongly advised to remain cautious and avoid going into the forest areas alone especially during the early morning and late evening hours when leopards are most active. Parents have been warned to keep a close watch on their children and ensure they do not wander near the forest fringes. The forest department is also conducting awareness meetings in nearby villages to educate people on how to protect themselves and their livestock from wild animal attacks.
