Massive Black Money and Fake Gold Coin Racket Busted in Valsad; Interstate Gang Caught After Dramatic Police Chase

High-Voltage Police Dragnet on Valsad-Dharampur Road Ends Multi-State Scam Syndicate

The Valsad Rural Police have successfully dismantled a highly sophisticated interstate criminal network that specialized in defrauding innocent citizens through “Black Money” illusions and counterfeit gold coins. In a high-stakes operation that mirrored a Hollywood thriller, law enforcement officials intercepted the gang near Vankal village on the Valsad-Dharampur road. The arrest has uncovered a chilling conspiracy to loot rural populations by promising overnight wealth and discounted gold.

The two arrested kingpins, hailing from the Nashik and Palghar regions of Maharashtra, were reportedly in the final stages of executing a massive financial heist in Valsad. Mounted on a black Pulsar motorcycle, the duo was attempting to scout for potential victims when they were blindsided by a strategically placed police watch. Upon searching the suspects, officers discovered a treasure trove of deception, including realistic-looking gold coins and specialized equipment used to transform “black paper” into “currency.”

The operation marks a significant victory for the South Gujarat police force, as this gang is believed to have operated across state lines, preying on the financial aspirations of unsuspecting villagers. The arrest has sent a stern warning to interstate syndicates attempting to establish a foothold in the industrial and rural belts of Valsad.

152 Counterfeit Gold Coins and Mysterious ‘Black Paper’ Bundles Seized in Vankal Village

The breakthrough occurred near the cricket ground of Bordi Falia in Vankal village. Acting on a precise intelligence tip-off, the rural police established a covert watch to identify two individuals moving suspiciously on a motorcycle. When the officers intercepted the suspects and conducted a thorough body search, they were stunned by the volume of fraudulent materials recovered.

A total of 152 counterfeit gold coins were recovered from their possession. These coins were manufactured with such precision that they were visually indistinguishable from genuine gold, designed specifically to deceive common citizens during high-pressure transactions. Furthermore, police found bundles of black paper cut precisely to the size of Indian currency notes, which the gang used to stage elaborate “Black Money” cleaning rituals.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Kamlakar Sureshbhai Gangurde, a resident of Vadpada, Nashik, and Jaiprakash alias Prakash alias Pakiya Pandharinath Meher, a resident of Palghar. In addition to the fake gold and black paper, the police seized three mobile phones, ₹5,500 in cash, and the Pulsar motorcycle used in the crime. The total value of the seized assets is estimated at ₹49,500, though the potential damage they could have caused is in the millions.

Inside the Modus Operandi: The High-Stakes ‘Black Money’ Chemical Drama Revealed

The interrogation of the arrested duo has revealed a masterclass in psychological manipulation. The gang utilized a specific “Black Money” scam that targeted the greed and desperation of their victims. They would present bundles of black paper to the victim, claiming it was “Black Money” that had been coated in a special protective pigment to avoid detection by authorities.

To prove their claim, the scammers would place a genuine Indian currency note at the top and bottom of the black bundle. They would then perform a “demonstration” using a supposedly secret chemical (often just a simple solvent) to “clean” a note, showing the victim that the black paper was actually real money. The victims, convinced they were witnessing a miracle, would then pay massive sums of genuine cash to buy the “chemical” or exchange their savings for the “black bundles.”

Simultaneously, the gang exploited the record-high prices of gold. They would approach people with the 152 counterfeit coins, claiming they were “ancient treasure” or “smuggled goods” available at half the market price. Once the victim paid the cash and the scammers vanished, the buyer would realize the “gold” was merely worthless polished metal.

BNSS Charges Filed as Police Launch Manhunt for Additional Gang Members

The Valsad Rural Police have officially registered a case under Sections 35(1) and 105(1) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Given the interstate nature of the crime, the investigation has now been expanded to track the gang’s movements across other districts of Gujarat and Maharashtra. Authorities suspect that Kamlakar and Jaiprakash are merely the field agents of a much larger syndicate involving chemical experts and master counterfeiters.

The police are currently in the process of seeking extended remand for the two suspects. During the remand period, investigators aim to extract information regarding the “mastermind” behind the chemical drama and the source of the high-quality counterfeit gold coins. There is a strong suspicion that this gang has successfully defrauded dozens of families in the tribal belts of Dharampur and Kaprada.

The Valsad Police Administration has issued an urgent public advisory, warning citizens against falling for “Get Rich Quick” schemes involving discounted gold or “Black Money” cleaning. They have urged any citizen who has been a victim of similar tactics to come forward and assist in the investigation, assuring that the identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
