Valsad Koli Patel Samaj 10th Mass Marriage: 100 Brides, ₹10L Cover (2026) Valsad Koli Patel Samaj to Host 10th Mass Marriage

A grand and socially impactful mass marriage ceremony is set to take place in Valsad, reflecting the continued commitment of the Koli Patel community toward social upliftment and support for economically weaker families. The Valsad Taluka Koli Patel Samaj Mandal has announced the organization of its 10th inter-caste mass marriage ceremony, an initiative that has already transformed the lives of thousands of families over the past decade. After successfully solemnizing the marriages of 1,210 daughters over the last nine years, the organization is now preparing to help 100 more daughters begin a new chapter of life through this large-scale wedding event.

The 10th mass marriage ceremony will be held on February 21, 2026, at Gundlav, near Valsad. On this auspicious day, 100 brides will take their marital vows in a single, well-coordinated ceremony designed to uphold tradition, dignity, and equality. The event is being widely recognized as one of the largest and most meaningful social initiatives in the region, as it significantly reduces the financial burden of marriage on underprivileged families.

The venue for this historic mass marriage ceremony will be located beside the Gundlav Helipad Ground on Khergam Road in Valsad. The entire event is being organized under the leadership of Valsad MLA and Mandal President Bharatbhai Patel. One of the most notable highlights of this year’s ceremony is the provision of a ₹10 lakh postal insurance policy for each newlywed couple. Importantly, the first premium of this insurance policy will be paid by the Koli Patel Samaj itself, ensuring financial security for the couples from the very beginning of their married life.

The organizers have stated that this insurance coverage is meant to provide long-term protection and stability, especially for families who otherwise struggle to access such financial safeguards. This thoughtful step has been widely appreciated as it goes beyond ceremonial support and extends into long-term welfare.

The mass marriage ceremony is expected to witness the presence of several prominent dignitaries. The Chief Minister or Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat is likely to attend the event, along with Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai and In-charge Minister Naresh Patel. In addition, several Members of Parliament and Members of the Legislative Assembly are expected to grace the occasion and bless the newly married couples. The event is being jointly organized by the Valsad Koli Patel Samaj and the Chandramolishwar Mahadevji Sthapan Trust, ensuring strong institutional backing and community participation.

Speaking about the initiative, Mandal President Bharatbhai Patel emphasized that the primary objective of the mass marriage program is to prevent parents from falling into debt or being forced to sell land or property to arrange their daughters’ weddings. He stated that the Samaj takes on the role of a father by providing comprehensive support, ensuring that every daughter is married with dignity and respect.

The wedding rituals will be conducted by knowledgeable Brahmins following traditional Vedic procedures. Ceremonies such as Grah Shanti, Mayra, and Kanyadaan will be performed in accordance with customs, preserving cultural values while maintaining uniformity across all marriages. This structured approach allows families from different backgrounds to participate without facing social or financial pressure.

Arrangements for hospitality have also been planned on a massive scale. A grand kitchen will be set up to serve meals to approximately 25,000 guests who are expected to attend the ceremony. The organizers have assured that food quality and hygiene will be given top priority, reflecting the community’s dedication to hosting a respectful and well-managed event.

In addition to the wedding rituals and meals, the brides and grooms will receive essential household items as part of the marriage gifts. The brides will be presented with mangalsutra, while the grooms will receive sherwanis. Household essentials, including cupboards and other necessary items, will also be provided to help couples begin their married life with basic stability and comfort.

Beyond the marriage ceremony itself, the Valsad Koli Patel Samaj Mandal plays a crucial role in helping eligible couples access various government welfare schemes. Vice President Shashi Patel shared detailed information about the assistance programs facilitated by the Mandal. Under the Kunvarbai nu Mameru Yojana, eligible beneficiaries receive financial assistance of ₹12,000. Similarly, couples married under the Saat Phera Samuh Lagna Yojana are also entitled to ₹12,000 in aid.

For couples belonging to the Scheduled Caste category, a special government scheme provides assistance of up to ₹2.50 lakh. Differently-abled couples are also supported through a government scheme offering financial aid of ₹1 lakh. The Mandal assists beneficiaries throughout the entire process, from filling out application forms to ensuring that the financial benefits are credited, making the system accessible even to families unfamiliar with administrative procedures.

To ensure the smooth execution of the event, Gundlav’s young Sarpanch Nitin Patel has taken on the role of convener for the mass marriage ceremony. He is supported by a committee comprising leaders from 15 different communities and a dedicated team of over 200 volunteers. This large and coordinated effort highlights the unity and organizational strength behind the initiative.

During a press conference, office bearers including Minister Ramu Patel, Co-Minister Rohita Patel, and other senior members of the Mandal were present. They reiterated their commitment to making the 10th mass marriage ceremony a memorable and impactful event that sets a benchmark for social responsibility.

With its scale, thoughtful planning, and strong welfare focus, the Valsad Koli Patel Samaj’s 10th mass marriage ceremony stands as a powerful example of how community-driven initiatives can create lasting social change. By combining tradition, financial support, and administrative assistance, the program continues to offer hope and dignity to hundreds of families across the region.
