Valsad Police Station Chaos Case: Transgender Granted Bail After Road Drama Goes Viral Drunk Transgender Released on Bail Following Police Station Ruckus in Valsad
A major incident that created panic and controversy in Valsad city over the weekend has taken a new turn, as the transgender individual who caused chaos at police stations and on a public road has been granted bail by the court. The dramatic visuals of the accused being dragged from the road have gone viral on social media, turning the incident into one of the most talked-about cases in Valsad in recent days.
According to details, the incident occurred on Sunday when a transgender individual, identified as Zoya alias Zuber Manjurali Sheikh from Dharampur, allegedly created a massive disturbance in an intoxicated condition. Wearing a red saree, the accused reportedly entered the premises of Valsad Rural Police Station and began behaving aggressively, creating fear and confusion among police personnel and visitors present at the station.
Police sources stated that the accused first got into a physical altercation with a person named Saurav Nayaka inside the rural police station compound. Following this, the transgender allegedly verbally abused another individual, Gautam Nayaka, using obscene language in public. The situation escalated further when the accused allegedly assaulted Gautam Nayaka and issued threats to kill him, leading to a serious law-and-order situation within the police station area.
During the incident, police observed that the accused was under the influence of alcohol. Matters worsened when the transgender entered both the Valsad Rural and Valsad City Police Station premises and reportedly removed clothes in front of women police personnel and female complainants. This obscene and aggressive behavior caused panic among women present at the station and raised serious concerns about safety and dignity within police premises.
After creating chaos inside the police station, the accused reportedly ran out onto a public road and lay down in a semi-nude condition. This act resulted in a major traffic disruption, as vehicles were forced to stop, causing congestion and confusion on the busy road. Passersby gathered at the spot, further adding to the chaos, while police struggled to bring the situation under control.
Eventually, police personnel had to physically lift and drag the transgender from the road to clear traffic and restore order. Videos showing police dragging the accused have since circulated widely on social media platforms, sparking mixed reactions among the public. While some questioned the conduct of the accused, others debated the handling of the situation by the police, making the incident a topic of intense discussion across the city.
Police officials also revealed that during custody, the accused allegedly attempted self-harm inside the lock-up. Soon after, the individual’s health deteriorated suddenly, forcing police to shift the transgender to Valsad Civil Hospital for immediate medical treatment. The accused remained under medical observation before being declared stable by doctors.
On Monday evening, after improvement in health condition, police produced the accused before the court. During the hearing, arguments were presented by both sides regarding the seriousness of the misconduct, the viral videos, and the overall disturbance to public order. After considering the submissions, the court granted bail to Zoya alias Zuber Manjurali Sheikh, allowing release from custody.
Police have confirmed that a strong complaint has been registered against the accused for obstructing police duty, disturbing public peace, using obscene language, issuing threats, and creating traffic obstruction. Even though bail has been granted, police officials clarified that the investigation is still ongoing and all available evidence, including viral video footage, has been officially included in the case file.
People who witnessed the incident said that Sunday evening turned into a stressful and chaotic period for Valsad police. Controlling an intoxicated individual who was behaving unpredictably proved to be extremely challenging. The incident also raised serious questions about public safety, behavior inside police premises, and preparedness to handle such situations, especially in the presence of women police staff and female visitors.
Although the transgender has now been released on bail, the incident continues to dominate conversations across Valsad. The dramatic road scene, traffic disruption, police action, and viral videos have kept the case in the public spotlight. Police officials have stated that further legal action will depend on the outcome of the ongoing investigation and court proceedings.
For now, the case stands as a reminder of how quickly a single incident can escalate into a major law-and-order issue, affecting traffic, public safety, and social harmony in a city like Valsad. The coming days will determine how the case progresses legally and what lessons authorities draw from this highly publicised episode.
