Vapi Lavachha Drug Bust: 2.95 kg Ganja Seized, Minor Among 4 Arrested Lavachha Ganja Racket Busted in Vapi

A major drug trafficking racket has been exposed in the Lavachha area of Vapi, creating shockwaves across the region. Acting on specific intelligence, the Dungra Police carried out a swift and well-coordinated raid and arrested four individuals, including one minor, with a large quantity of ganja. A total of 2.95 kilograms of ganja was seized during the operation, highlighting the growing concern of narcotics trade even in industrial zones like Vapi.

According to official information, the operation was conducted under the leadership of Dungra Police Station Police Inspector S. P. Gohil. The police team was present at the station when PI Gohil received credible information that certain individuals in the Lavachha area were illegally storing and trading narcotic substances. Taking the information seriously, the police immediately formed a team and moved into action without delay.

The police team reached the identified location in Lavachha and began a thorough inspection. During the raid, four persons were found at the spot. The arrested accused have been identified as Adityakumar Rajuprasad Chandravanshi, Ankit Gajraj Dev Ramdukare Pal, Avjeetkumar Ranjit Pyare Yadav, along with one minor who is in conflict with the law. The presence of a minor in such an illegal activity has added a serious social concern to the case.

Upon conducting a detailed search, the police recovered ganja that was being kept without any legal permit. The seized ganja weighed 2 kilograms and 095 grams, bringing the total quantity to approximately 2.95 kilograms. The estimated market value of the seized narcotic substance has been calculated at ₹1,04,750. The recovery of such a significant quantity of ganja from the Lavachha area has raised alarm among local residents.

In addition to the narcotic substance, the police also seized several other items from the accused, which further confirmed their involvement in drug distribution. These included three mobile phones, a weighing scale, transparent plastic pouches used for packing narcotics, a stapler, and a box of stapler pins. The recovery of packaging materials and weighing equipment clearly indicates that the accused were actively involved in the sale and distribution of ganja rather than mere possession.

Overall, the Dungra Police seized a total of ₹1,20,250 worth of muddamal during the raid. Following the seizure, legal proceedings were initiated against all accused persons. The adult accused have been booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, while appropriate sections of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act have been applied in the case involving the minor. All accused have been sent to judicial custody, and further legal formalities are underway.

The exposure of this drug racket in Vapi’s Lavachha area has triggered widespread discussion and concern. Vapi is known as a major industrial hub, and the presence of such a large quantity of narcotics in the area has caused fear among residents, especially parents worried about the safety of the younger generation. The involvement of a minor has intensified concerns about how easily youths are being drawn into the drug trade.

Police officials have stated that detailed interrogation of the accused is currently underway. Investigators are focusing on identifying the source of the ganja, the supply chain involved, and the intended buyers. The police suspect that the arrested individuals may be part of a larger drug network operating in and around Vapi. Efforts are being made to trace backward and forward links in the narcotics supply chain.

Local sources have indicated that the Lavachha area had recently witnessed suspicious movement of anti-social elements during late-night hours. Residents believe that the Dungra Police action has sent a strong warning to drug traffickers operating in the region. The swift action has reportedly created panic among drug peddlers, who now fear further crackdowns.

Following this incident, the police have intensified surveillance and checking operations across the district. As per the directions of the Range IG and the District Police Chief, strict checking drives are being conducted to curb the spread of narcotics. Police teams are maintaining heightened vigilance in sensitive areas, hostels, industrial zones, and residential pockets.

The successful bust of the ganja racket in Lavachha has drawn appreciation for the alertness and efficiency of the Dungra Police. Citizens have welcomed the action and expressed hope that strict measures will continue against those involved in drug trafficking. Many residents have emphasized that firm action is essential to protect the youth from falling into addiction.

The case of 2.95 kg ganja being seized in Vapi Lavachha, with four arrests including a minor, has now become a major topic of discussion in the city. Due to timely police intervention, a narcotic consignment worth lakhs was prevented from reaching the market. With court proceedings set to begin, the investigation is expected to uncover more links in this illegal trade.
